Fresh off hosting the inaugural Bill Carson Invitational, the East Carolina track and field program will head to Charlotte, N.C., to compete in the 49er Classic Friday, April 18.
The Pirates finished second on both the men's and women's side behind South Carolina, which won the meet. ECU concluded the weekend with several personal records, 14 event victories and three school records.
ECU opened the meet with three event victories, a school record showing, and several personal bests. ECU is in first place, as the women's squad has tallied 31 points and the men's team has collected 25.
The East Carolina track and field team will host the Bill Carson Invitational when it welcomes Charlotte, South Carolina and UNC Wilmington Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12.
