The meet features 27 schools including nationally ranked squads in No. 5 Penn State, No. 14 Villanova, No. 18 Akron on the men's side along with No. 9 Georgetown and No. 18 Akron on the women's side. The Penn State National runs from January 30-31.

The East Carolina track and field squad turned in a team effort at the Hokie Invitational as 16 Pirates secured spots in the ECU record book and sophomore Leah Lott won the women's long jump.

After a pair of third-place finishes at the Carolina Cup last weekend, the East Carolina track and field squad is back in action this weekend when the Pirates take part in the Hokie Invitational hosted by Virginia Tech.

ECU came away with three first-place finishes over the weekend as junior Avion Jones won the men's high jump and seniors Joe Wilson and Tyshonda Hawkins took first in the men's and women's 60-meter dash, respectively.

After taking a one-month hiatus for finals and winter break, the East Carolina track and field team will resume its indoor season Friday, January 16, at the Dick Taylor Carolina Cup hosted by the University of North Carolina.
